MATTHEW A BEDIAKO, SECRETARY OF THE GENERAL CONFERENCE

Matthew A Bediako has served in the General Conference since 1986 as a Field Secretary and then General Vice President before being elected as General Conference Secretary in 2000. Prior to coming to the General Conference, Elder Bediako served as President of the West African Union, President of the Ghana Conference, West African Union Department Director, and a Bible teacher at Bekwai School.

Bediako holds a B.A. in Theology, an M.A. in Religion, and a Masters in Public Health. He was ordained in 1973 in Accra, Ghana. He speaks the Twi language besides English. Bediako is married to Elizabeth Coffie-Bediako and they have four daughters.
