DIAN R LAWRENCE, ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF THE GENERAL CONFERENCE
Dian R Lawrence (Kuebler) was born in Walla Walla, Washington and spent her childhood and youth in Oregon and Washington where she attended Walla Walla College before moving cross country with her parents to Maryland.
She spent her first 10 years of denominational service working in the Emergency Room, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiology departments at Washington Adventist Hospital where she met her husband, Ken. The Lawrence's have two daughters, Jennifer and Kristina.
In September 1980, she accepted a position in the General Conference Secretariat and worked there in various positions until January 1, 2003, at which time she became the Executive Assistant to the General Conference President. In August 2005, she took up her current assignment as Assistant Secretary of the General Conference.
Dian's current
position includes such responsibilities as assisting the Undersecretary
in facilitating the work of Secretariat, editing minutes of the various
administrative committees, serving as secretary of the Appointees Commitee,
preparing the organizational charts for the care of the business of Annual
Councils, Spring Meetings and General Conference Sessions, serving as
a source of information on policy and procedures for Secretariat, supervising
the work of the Office of Interdivision Personnel Records, supervising
the work of the Service Records office, and preparing various statistical
reports. |
