G T NG, ASSOCIATE SECRETARY OF THE GENERAL CONFERENCE

G T Ng's home country is Singapore. His passion for mission was kindled when he began his ministry in war-torn Cambodia in the 1970s. He and his wife had to be evacuated shortly before the capital city, Phnom Penh, fell to Khmer Rouge forces. He was later transferred toThailand, Malaysia, and Singapore where he served as pastor, chaplain, health educator, and union departmental director.

His second missionary pilgrimage began when he served nine years as a professor and dean of the theological seminary in the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS) in the Philippines from 1991 to 2000. He was called to be the executive secretary at the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD) from 2000 to 2006.

Ng holds a bachelor's degree from the Southeast Asia Union College in Singapore, a MA degree from the SDA Theological Seminary (Far East) in the Philippines, and a PhD from the Theological Seminary at Andrews University. He is married to Ivy and they have two grown children, Jocelyn and Mervyn.

Ng currently serves as the secretartiat liaison between the General Conference and three world divisions: Northern Asia-pacific Division (NSD), Southern Asia Division (SUD), and Trans-European Division (TED).
