CLAUDE SABOT, ASSOCIATE SECRETARY OF THE GENERAL CONFERENCE

Claude Sabot was born and raised in Brussels, Belgium. He completed his equivalent undergraduate studies in Religion at the French Adventist Seminary in Collonges-sous-salève, Haute-Savoie, France. In addition to French, Sabot is fluent in both English and Dutch.

Before coming to the General Conference, Claude Sabot served 24 years in the North American Division as pastor, Quebec Conference President, Canadian Union Departmental Director, and most recently as Canadian Union Secretary.

Prior to coming to North America, Claude served for nine years in Africa; in Algeria as a teacher, and in Madagascar and Zaire (Democratic Republic of Congo) as Director of Secondary Boarding Schools. Sabot is married to Farida and they have three children: Philippe, Eric, and Luc, two of whom are married.

Sabot serves the Southern Africa-Indian Ocean Division, the Southern-Asia Division, and the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS). Calls for regular interdivision employees are placed with this office.
